Look deep into my golden eyes. Are you feeling hypnotized? My name is Shadow, and I’m one of the smartest cats you will ever meet.  I was once the only companion of my darling Barbara. We lived in complete harmony together. She taught me all about watching TV and bought me my very own videos. Together, we would watch the political talk shows and discuss world affairs. I would ride around our apartment with her on her wheelchair and she did everything she could to make sure I was healthy and happy. She is a brilliant person and I miss her very much. You see, Barbara has late stage COPD. That means she has great difficulty breathing. It’s gotten so bad, she can’t keep me in the apartment anymore. She can barely care for herself these days, so even just scooping my cat litter is too much for her to handle. She is now in and out of the hospital, so she asked some friends to help me find a new permanent home.

I am neutered, of course, and up to date on all my shots. I had a little bout with bladder stones awhile back, but am doing very well now, by just drinking from my fountain and watching my diet.
