This is Hailee, She came from Tn, the day before all the flooding several months ago. Originally, she had a potential home for her but she is not good with smaller animals, dogs or cats. If they move quickly or runs, she wants to chase them, but not to play. Unfortunately I have 4 Shelties and 6 cats so Hailee has to be kenneled/crated. She is between 1 & 1 1/2 years old, very playful, very energetic, so someone who is active would be great. She was listed on petfinder as a Mountain Cur mix but I thinks she has lots of Hound in her, basic body shape and she bounds rather than runs, yes she can howl but is more of a barker. When she first came she had the most amazing coat, thick as can be, like a teddy bear, but not long, she "molted" about two weeks later and know has a coarse, shorter coat. At night when I let her out of the kennel to come inside I just let her run for a good 1/2 hour or so and she runs like the wind, she leaps right off the deck rather than using the stairs:-) Lately I have been letting Chloe, my 20 lb sheltie, out with her, they seem to get along but she is a little overwhelming, think "Tigger" from Winnie the Pooh! Around bigger dogs she is submissive. She has been around my neighbors two kids, 14 & 8, she loves them, she loves people but is somewhat nervous around some men but is mostly a real people dog. She is spayed and up to date on all shots, HW-, very healthy. We went to several obedience classes but she was way too velcro to really learn anything and was nervous around the other dogs, but that was right after I got her. she would need someone who would continue her training.  If she gets bored, like any dog she will find something to keep her busy. I really need to find her a home where she does not have to be crated when inside and kenneled when outside, somewhere where she can have a real home. I would like her to stay in the NY/NJ/New England area and would require references and a home visit. Thanks for any help in finding this great dog a forever home.
